When updating Fergo Virtual CDU, please always do a fresh install (entirely delete the contents of the old folder and extract the newly downloded archive).
Description:
Fergo Virtual CDU is a virtual Control Display Unit for MSFS' PMDG 737 aircraft series (737-700 and 737-600). It allows you to remote control the plane's Flight Management Computer (FMC) externally with soft-buttons and a 1:1 representation of the display in real time. Accessible through your regular web-browser, you can use it in a second monitor or any other device connected to your home network, such as a phone or tablet.
Main Features:
Web based client
The CDU interface is a web app that uses your regular browser, such as Firefox or Chrome. That means you can use it in your computer, phone, tablet or any other device connected to your home network and capable of web browsing.
Easy to use
Simply launch the server, navigate to the CDU interface with your browser and you are good to go. The software automatically connects to the game and sets up the client-server communication.
Non-intrusive
Fergo Virtual CDU is a standalone and portable software that requires no installation. Simply extract the contents of the compressed archive into a folder of choice.
Automatic configuration
FCDU will automatically configure the PMDG settings for data broadcast and add the required firewall rules for the client.
Off-line activation
User experience shouldn't be affected by clumsy on-line DRM. Fergo Virtual CDU uses a simple and off-line activation system.
Customizable
As the client is web based, you can customize images, fonts and colors by simply editing the HTML and CSS files (some web development knowledge recommended).

Second request...Hello guys, i´m in the 1.0.8218 version, how update at the new one?
Fergo Simworks 9 day(s) ago
You can access the new versions in the "My Purchases" page
rosmanczyk
Is it possible to have it show the display only in fullscreen?
Fergo Simworks 9 day(s) ago
Hi!
Do you mean like only showing the display, without the CDU keys itself?
Dani010
Will you also make a Fenix version?
KevyKevTPA 13 day(s) ago
I have the same question...
Fergo Simworks 12 day(s) ago
Unfortunately Fenix haven't released their SDK yet, so an external CDU is not yet officially possible. I do intent to add support to other aircraft in the future though, and Fenix is definitely one of them.

Will this be updated to work with the PMDG 737-600?
Fergo Simworks 13 day(s) ago
It already works fine, although at the moment you are manually required to edit the 737_Option.ini for the 'pmdg-aircraft-736' to enable CDU data broadcast. Add these lines to the end of the file and save it:
[SDK]
EnableDataBroadcast=1
EnableCDUBroadcast.0=1
EnableCDUBroadcast.1=1
If you have Steam version, the file is located at:
[DRIVE]:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\pmdg-aircraft-736\work\737_Options.ini
If you are on Microsoft Store, it's in:
[DRIVE]:\Users\[DRIVE]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-736\work\737_options.ini
I'm updating the software to support this configuration automatically for the 600 too.
Fergo Simworks 13 day(s) ago
Just pushed a new version with automatic configuration for the 737-600. Should be available in the next few hours.

Is there a soft version for Airbus 320 series?

Awesome Bit of kit. I use this on an android tablet, together with FSRadio Panel pro, on 2 seperate Android phones giving me at least two panels open simultaneously with the latter. Thank You Fergo Simworks! It makes configuring the 737 much more delightful.
I wonder if the same can be done with the PMDG 737 EFB system (if and when it's introduced to the model)?

Hello guys, i´m in the 1.0.8218 version, how update at the new one?
RzEmYk
Great job, but...
Anyway, everything else works great in real-time! 😊
Fergo Simworks 19 day(s) ago
Thanks RzEmYk,
I just pushed a new version of the software that should fix the issue with the box character not working properly on some languages. This should be available for download in the next 24 hours.
Out of curiosity, does this happen only with the box character? How about the <- -> arrows on lines such as ground power CONNECTED <--> REMOVED?
I'll add the minimize-to-tray idea to the roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion.
RzEmYk 18 day(s) ago
I tried newest version. Same problems with "[]" characters. Also new problems in Vivaldi browser: https://imgur.com/a/K3xwSyk
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) and newest Chrome shows same result as in Windows browser.
kannagi 18 day(s) ago
Just tried too and I still have the same problem. It seems like you can only resolve this by setting unicode to English. The special characters used in the font won't be displayed (symbol for degree, square box, etc.)
Fergo Simworks 17 day(s) ago
I'll take a deeper look into it with the regards to the characters on non English systems. The first issue seems like something related to the browser cache using an old and incompatible version of the client. You can try forcing to clear the cache of Vivaldi browser.
Fergo Simworks 15 day(s) ago
Just pushed a new version to flightsim.to which should fix the character issues on non english devices. I tested on my iPad with the language changed to polish and chinese and it is now showing the arrows and boxes correctly.
The new version should be available in a few hours. Please do a fresh install (completely delete the old version and extract the new one), so it doesn't use any cached fonts.
kannagi 15 day(s) ago
Thank you so much for these updates!
However, the issue is caused by windows itself, not the language on the remote device. I don't know if it's just the limitation with windows unicode system as other software seems to suffer from the same issue. In order to reproduce this, you will have to set your windows system unicode setting in the region option. I will also try to run unicode emulator and see if it can be fixed.

I can confirm that everything works just fine! 😊
Great job. 😊

Works Great on my Samsung tablet. Any plans on adding other aircraft like the 146 Professional?
Fergo Simworks 19 day(s) ago
Yes, definitely are plans for future aircrafts. At the moment, I'm focusing on fixing the bugs and making the communication more reliable and robust.

Everything is working but I can't get those boxes symbol to show on the CDU (where you are supposed to input things into), instead, I get some weird square with question mark. Can you help me with it?
Fergo Simworks 23 day(s) ago
Thanks for the comment!
The client uses a custom font that includes those squares. Perhaps your browser may be blocking custom fonts? Also, you might wanna check if the font is actually in the folder "WebClient\cdu\font\FergoCDU-Regular.otf"
kannagi 22 day(s) ago
I see the otf file for font inside the folder but can't get it to work on any of my mobile devices. I even tried opening it on the same PC, but I don't think it's using the font.
kannagi 22 day(s) ago
I think I have found the issue. I have to run my system with English Unicode to display it correctly. I don't know if there are other ways to fix it saddly.
Fergo Simworks 21 day(s) ago
Hi kannagi,
Thanks for the reply.
Do you mean you have to set the system language of the clients (computer, iPad, mobile devices, etc...) to english unicode in order for it to work? What language were you running before, when you were experiencing the "?" characters (so I can replicate it in my end and fix the issue)?
kannagi 21 day(s) ago
I was using simplified Chinese OS and unicode when I encountered this error. I don't think OS language matters in this case, only the unicode. Running English unicode and Chinese OS seems to be fine right now and only unicode other than English appears to cause the issue with all the ??
Thank you!

Just to say that it is the best purchase I have ever made for the simulator. It works great, both on mobile and tablet and I have been surprised at the speed with which it interacts. A 10.

This update fixed the ip address problem. Great little app and excellent customer service. 5 Stars ***** 😊
HalalPilot
I bought a similar application from another vendor, but on my phone devices (iPhone, and a Samsung), there is a large black empty area at the bottom where the CDU is resized to fit the width of the device only, and not the height. Does this program do the same? Can it be made to fit the entire screen regardless of the dimensions? I don't like the look of having empty space at the bottom.
Fergo Simworks 29 day(s) ago
At the moment, Fergo Virtual CDU will always keep the aspect ratio of the CDU, to avoid distortions, so you will get vertical or horizontal bars if the screen doesn't perfectly match the ~1:1.56 AR

On the pictures I can not see a browser frame. This is goog. But, s the browser frame auto hidden or with wich browser this works. ?? A Demo / Test Version would bee nice.
Fergo Simworks 30 day(s) ago
Hi flyfox,
The top bar is visible when using regular Safari. However, you can add the page to your home screen, then the top bar is automatically hidden.
I'm working on a test version of Fergo CDU that should be available by the end of the weekend.

Thanks for answer. But on android i can only ad shortcut to homescreen no application.

Hello I have a problem. When I launch the mcdu session on my pc and I want to access it on my tablet it does not work
Ma__caz 30 day(s) ago
however I only have windows firewall
Fergo Simworks 30 day(s) ago
Hi Ma__caz,
I've just sent you a private message here on flightsim.to so we can try to sort this issue out.
Ma__caz 29 day(s) ago
it's send, did you receive it?
Ma__caz 29 day(s) ago
Because for me it is marked that you have just closed the messages
Fergo Simworks 29 day(s) ago
Yes, I did. Thanks.
The technique I'm using to detect the local IP address doesn't seem to be properly working on Windows 11. I'm working on a fix and it should be ready by the weekend.
On the meantime, you can use the client by manually connecting to the correct local IP address (ignoring the one suggested by Fergo CDU). I've sent you a PM with the details on how to get this IP.
