This is the F/A-18F Super Hornet, developed for use with MSFS 2020 and distributed as freeware.
If you like this model, also check out the very similar EA-18G Growler - https://flightsim.to/file/74932/boeing-ea-18g-growler
Key Features:
- Weapons loadout can be selected by entering weights in the payload menu. Other players with this mod can see the loadout you select and many of your visual effects in multiplayer
- The canopy can be opened on the ground with Taxi lights
- The boarding ladder appears down and the pilots disappear when the canopy is open and engines are shut down while stopped
- Formation/slime lights can be toggled with Recognition lights
- The aerial refueling probe can be extended with Wing lights
- The tailhook and wing fold both work using built-in commands, but the animations are now visible in multiplayer
- An airshow smoke system can be enabled using the payload menu, then toggled using the Logo lights
- A centerline buddy-buddy refueling pod can be added using payload. When added, Logo lights will extend the drogue instead of toggling smoke
- A paint kit is included to help with creation of new liveries
The cockpit is the single seat F-18E cockpit using Asobo gauges. Weapons still appear on the wings but the paint scheme will not match and there is no back seat. A proper two-place cockpit may be added in the future if someone wants to model it. You must have the Asobo F-18 installed for the proper cockpit textures to appear.
The flight model is custom and should provide generic fighter-like performance without targeting any specific real world numbers. The engines and fuel system are not necessarily accurate either. The Asobo implementation of FBW and especially auto-trim is extremely basic and irritating to fight while flying formation. I am sure someone will make a mod to install the original Asobo FBW flight model for those who prefer it.
The tailhook is functional but it only appears to work with some of the available carriers. Hopefully someone can assist with getting it fully functional for all carrier packs.
NOTE: The weapons and most visual effects are controlled by lights as a hack to make them visible in multiplayer. You may notice that things will quickly flash if you hit a light command - this is normal. Some players with 'hard toggle' light switches on their joysticks may run into issues where the aircraft and controller are fighting to turn lights on/off at the same time and things flash. If this is the case I suggest you set your light controller to neutral so it is not constantly forcing a light state.
Known issues:
- Some light meshes are not showing on other players
- The engines need further tuning
- The launch bar does not animate
== ALTERNATE PANEL ==
If you have the Super Warrior mod installed and you wish to use those gauges instead of the default Asobo gauges, go into the panel folder and rename panel.cfg to panel_Asobo.cfg, then rename the panel_SuperWarrior.cfg file to panel.cfg. The screens should all use the Super Warrior gauges after that
Thank you to Whisky_Tango_Foxtrot, Groom Lake Simulations, Rhys Brown, and groovyy for their help with the texture files.
Thank you to TouchingCloud for the incredible Super Warrior mod as a baseline for this
If you make a livery for the aircraft, please send me a message! I would be happy to incorporate it into future versions of this pack.

If I leave the folder as it is, I open the game and the fuel and weight load is red because of the CG, and when I start no weapons appear and sometimes the plane tilts upwards when parked.
I have read the readme file and it doesn't say anything about installation or where each folder goes.

Other than that, it's pretty good and is one of the few planes that don't have this weird wobble when pulling hard.
