King Air 350 G1000 Cockpit Mod

A cockpit mod that swaps out the default King Air 350's screens for Working Title's G1000 NXi. If you like flying the King Air but hate the default G3x avionics, this mod is for you. Comes with 2 PFDs, MFD, autopilot panel and audio panel.

Installation:

  • Extract zip
  • Copy folder "husk-g1000kingair" into community folder

This mod will replace the cockpit model of the default aircraft.

Known issues:

  • Some button sounds are missing
  • Some add-on liveries that modify the panel files are incompatible
  • Map rendering at the edges may be incomplete due to map resizing after adding eis columns

Thanks for breathing life into this aircraft, you've done a fantastic job. It's so awesome to finally have a proper glass cockpit in the 350. I have absolutely *ZERO* knowledge when it comes to creating or modifying MSFS aircraft, if I did I would be contributing to this great community.

Do you know if it's possible to get any of the other none functioning systems and switches up and running? Or is it a coding "nightmare" that would take months? Great job, keep up the great work!

This has to be one of the more important updates to a default aircraft I have seen of late. We have the Blacksquare model but the default Kingair needed this little touch to bring it up to the standard of everything else offered in the Asobo hanger. Thanks so much for doing this mode. Now the default Kingair is flyable and enjoyable. It's sad I missed this when it was released back in September. If it weren't for the constant updates I still wouldn't have known about this.

This mod is great!!! Totally transforms the default King Air into what it should have been. Now if we could get rid of the yellow arc and switch to a turbo prop barber pole on the speed tape, this would be almost perfect. Great job!

Pretty awesome..... the original avionics were garbage. had an issue with liveries where the old avionics screens would show up inside of the G1000 panels and the G1000 buttons would not work. guess i just cant use that livery. Thanks Much!

I think I found a workaround for liveries that don’t work with this panel. Just remove panel.xml and replace panel.cfg with one of the default panel.cfg files. (In the official folder which is in the same Localcache folder as community)

(Disclaimer I didn’t fly since trying this, I only started the aircraft on a runway and it looks like the G1000 is all there)

I don't think king airs ever had g3000s but a pl21 might be worth looking into. Although it would require a lot more work to adapt the cj4 proline to the king air

Hi Husk, i seem to have an issue with the mod where the G1000 displays are blank. I know its not the g1000 because it works with other mods. I've tested it with a bunch of liveries both default and addon and still can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

I believe theirs a bug with the g1000 where the screen would turn off below a certain brightness. Maybe try turning up the brightness of the screens using the knobs on the overhead panel

This is my first aircraft mod so I also little knowledge. I would imagine it would take a bit of learning to implement better systems. It might be a possibility in the future

Hi Husk, there's a bug in v0.9.1. With that version, on the asobo bonanza, we get engine gauges on the PFD, and some functions can't be used, for example we can't change CDI.
I also tryed asobo 208, no problem on this aircraft.

I should have made a mistake. After uninstalling and reinstalling your mod, there's no more problem with the bonanza. You're mod is great and makes the king air a lot more enjoyable aricraft to fly!

G1000 buttons dont work after latest update. Cannot get FPL, no CDI button, nothing works on the G1000 PFD itself after latest update.

With the latest update, the white indicators for HDG and VS on the autopilot appear to be missing..
Edit: And today they are back... Hmmm. 😊
