Welcome to the World Sightseeing Tour - a series of bushtrips taking you around the world to see the best of what this flight sim world has to offer. The bush trips are modelled in a similar style to the default bush trips - complete with route map/loading screens and fully translated into all currently supported languages. Each bush trip is around 1000 nautical miles with legs averaging 50nm. Some missing airfields have been added where needed (to keep leg lengths reasonable), although they are fairly basic and would be considered placeholders until they are updated/added in the default sim. These bush trips use the default DA62 and weather is set to live and can be changed as needed.
This first download contains the first 18 bush trips, starting in Alaska and travelling through western Canada, the USA and Central America to finish in Colombia. The second part continues on from there, with a tour around the entire continent of South America. This third part moves north through the Caribbean, through the eastern USA and Canada before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Iceland via Greenland. The fourth part covers Europe and will be released periodically as progress is made due to the large size of this part and the time it will take to complete.

I am using the excellent BushMissionGen by f99mlu to help create these bush trips, and planning done in LittleNavMap

FAQ
Why the DA62? Can this be changed?
It has a cruising speed of 150-160kts which I figured was a sweet spot for sightseeing/long journeys. It stops very quickly - great for smaller airstrips. Good climb rate. There are no "steam gauge" aircraft currently in the sim that fit these criteria so this seemed the best option (otherwise my choice may have been different). You can change the aircraft to whatever you like before starting each bush trip - check the forums for instructions on how to do this.
The Navlog makes reference to a landmark or sight that isn't there.
Given the ongoing development to the sim, I have just created a route that would see as many of these landmarks/sights as possible, whether they currently exist in the sim or not. They may get added into the default sim at a later date, there are also many scenery/landmark addons available on this site for download. In some cases I have created and added some landmarks which are included in these bush trips - again, like the airports I have added, I would consider them placeholders, as my 3D modelling skills are not great - but it's better than nothing.
When will the next part be available?
No date exactly as these bush trips are time consuming to create - and I have to fly them all to test out the navlog (to make sure the instructions can be followed reasonably well). Also real world stuff slows things down. I am releasing parts of Europe as I create them due to the time it takes to create them - hence the Work in Progress tag.
How long do these trips take to complete?
I tried to make the legs around 50nm on average (depending on airport locations some are more, some less) which would generally mean a flight of about 20 minutes each leg and around 8 or 9 hours for a bush trip (similar to the original Nevada bush trip which I think has a great balance between flight time / takeoffs and landings). Of course, if you change to the Cub or another aircraft, the flight times will differ. Using real world weather will also affect the flight times.
Are these based on any of the around the world trips that people have been following in the forums?
No. Just based off my own research and various lists of things worth seeing, although there would be some similarities with routes taken through some particular areas as they would be the obvious route to take in a small aircraft (example: Canada - Greenland - Iceland - Faroe Islands or island hopping through the Caribbean)
Will it visit every country?
No. I am avoiding long over-water flights (apart from the necessary Atlantic Crossing via Greenland) or long flights over areas where there are not many airports or sights to see.
Installation?
Just drag the contents of the zipfile to your community folder. There are 8 folders in total (6 bush trips + 2 scenery/library folders)
You added in a missing airport but I already have a better version. What is the best way to fix this?
I added in some needed airports so users could run these bush trips without the need to download any extra files. In the event that you have a better version of an airport than the basic one I have made - the best suggestion I have is to delete the one I made from within that bush trip's scenery folder and edit the layout.json file accordingly (there is a drag and drop editor availble for this also - very handy tool). Alternatively you can leave everything in place (I think) but there will be some doubling up of things in the sim (runways/taxiways).

I'm just busy flying your route again. Right now I am at part 49 on my way to Halifax.
It is still a lot of fun to follow your route and it is the only incentive to play MSFS at all.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for the endless effort you put into this project. I hope that you will not get tired to continue this project, because there is still a long way to go.
*** THANK YOU FOR THAT.
My suggestion for the future and the only thing that bothers me a bit.
I think it's a pity that in big cities you often land on a small airfield, although there are much more interesting landings / airfields. Outside the big cities, e.g. in Canada or often in South America, we are often "tortured" with grass and sand runways (important, this is not a criticism and a good thing).
I would like to see the experience of the biggest airports in the metropolises instead of just flying over them.

You can delete the save files for each bush trip. They are in this folder:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\MISSIONS\ACTIVITIES

PO'd . Down to the very last leg and find out that EIBN doesn't exist. THANKS ALOT

EIBN isn't a default airport but I added it as part of this package- make sure you also have the gamer4805-scenery-wt04custom folder in your community folder as this contains the added airport. Worked fine when I test flew the bush trip.
