A set of Landing Challenges for Fast Jet pilots at UK miltary airfields.

Use the runway threshold as your reference point and try for a fully held-off landing in the blue square, but note that a soft landing on the runway centre-line is as important as a short one.

Each challenge starts more or less lined-up but at low-level and with speed on - either pull up and land straight ahead or run-in and break into the circuit.

To install just unzip the challenge(s) of your choice to your Community folder.
To uninstall just delete the folder.

RAF Valley - MB339

Wind is light from approx 300, land on 31.
Look for 110 Kts on finals, the 339 is an easy introduction to fast jets.

RAF Valley - BAE Hawk

RAF Brawdy - BAE Hawk

Wind is light from approx 10, land on 1.
Look for 120 Kts on finals, correct trim is crucial to landing the Hawk.

RAF Leeming - BAE Hawk

RAF Valley - Fiat G91

Wind is light from approx 300, land on 31.
Look for 150 Kts on finals, the Gina is a challenge to land, keep your speed up until settled on the approach.
Keep the engine spooled-up and keep the speed down with air-brakes.
The Gina starts the challenge with the canopy lock popped, so lock it again to kill that beeping.

RAF Valley - Lockheed TF104G

Wind is light from approx 300, land on 31.
Look for 175 Kts on finals, the TF104 is even more of a challenge to land, keep the engine at at least 85% and keep the speed down with air-brakes

RAF Valley - Boeing C-17 - not really a fast jet, but it is free and fun!

Wind is light from approx 300, land on 31.
Look for 130 Kts on finals, the Globemaster is surprisingly manoueverable but you will need a wide circuit.
