Download and you will get a zip file
Extract it and you will see a exe file name: MSFS2020 Map Enhancement Setup 5.x.x
Double click it to trigger installation, please keep the default installation path.
You will see a "MSFS2020 Map Enhancement" icon appear on your desktop
Before start MSFS2020, open the mod and allow it run in administrator mode
Choose the map and click "Start Flying"
You will see the "Runtime Info" show and it will refresh automatically when you are in-game
Start your MFSF2020 and enjoy.
Close MSFS2020 and close this mod (It should automatically return to bing map for the next run)

I'm rewriting the whole software with another technolgy which will prevent some existing issues. Please stay tunned for new version.

With the latest SU10 beta I'm getting some black flashes as textures update with both Bing and Google. It usually happens close to the ground.

Mostly it is caused by SU10 beta or GPU driver. I tried it and it works good for me. I will have a try when new version is there.

When I use ME 5.1.0 and am done for the day, then next day when I use it there are startup issues. Therefor when I stop using it, I "quit" ME to close it for the day, then put my PC to sleep. Then when I start it up again the next day I get the message "443 Port is using, the mod won't work". To resolve the problem I have to reboot the PC, then ME starts up again OK. What it amounts to is that ME can't be restarted without having to reboot the PC. Any suggestions?

P.S. The message says to read the FAQ to solve the problem. Where is this FAQ located?

Thanks! Perhaps you are not closing the port when "quit" is selected by right-clicking ME in the task bar?

OK, so here's what's happening. I found this out by watching the YT video referenced in your FAQ. After doing a "Quit" by right-clicking ME in the task bar, and then look at the ports using "resmon", 443 is still open with nginx.exe. So when starting ME back up, it sees that 443 is not free, and aborts. You need to close nginx.exe when doing a "quit" to close ME.

I got version 5.09 working,but it makes lots of airports and buildings disappea.Also,i get a lot of errors saying my broadband isnt large enough.I have rtx 3080.32g ram,core i7-7700.Is this not powerful enough?Went back to Bing textures for now.

In my settings,it says your broadband connection is not good,and it takes me offline.It turns off Bing textures in settings.The textures are very faded,and some buildings are missuing.

Great addon, compliments on the work! What I am experiencing though, is that textures at airports are really vague/blurred. So for example taxiways and runways turn into low quality. Is this a known issue? Any way to prevent the mod from now overwriting default, high quality airport textures?

CAUTION!: I must warn that this add-on has left me two days TWO DAYS without being able to use the flight simulator. It makes a modification to the HOSTS file that does not allow the program to finish loading a mission or flight after the main menu. I have gone crazy looking for solutions, I uninstalled all the ADD ON but THIS modifies the HOSTS file making it impossible for the simulator to work correctly. There is no use uninstalling it because the error persists as HOSTS is a Windows file. It will work a couple of times and then the problems will start. WATCH OUT.

I do not detract from the program, the two times I used it I liked it a lot and it looked very nice, especially for sites where Microsoft/Asobo did not even do scenarios in the World Updates, but until they correct that flaw they will have problems. I don't know if it happens to everyone who installs it, but there is already a thread about it on the official FS forum mentioning that this program causes problems and is not supported by FS2020.

CUIDADO!: Debo advertir que este add-on me ha dejado dos días DOS DÍAS sin poder usar el simulador de vuelo. Hace una modificación al archivo HOSTS que no permite que el programa termine de cargar una misión o vuelo luego del menú principal. Me he vuelto loco buscando soluciones, desinstalé todos los ADD ON pero ESTE modifica el archivo HOSTS haciendo imposible que el simulador funcione correctamente. No sirve de nada desinstalarlo porque el error persiste al ser HOSTS un archivo de Windows. Funcionará un par de veces y después comenzarán con los problemas. CUIDADO.

No desmerezco el programa, las dos veces que lo usé me gustó mucho y se veía muy bonito, en especial para sitios donde aún Microsoft/Asobo no hicieron escenarios en los World Updates, pero hasta que no corrijan esa falla tendrán problemas. No sé si les suceda a todos los que lo instalen, pero ya hay un hilo al respecto en el foro oficial de FS mencionando que este programa causa problemas y no es soportado por FS2020.

Great mod, just one quetion:

what does the "auto start mod" osption mean? Does that mean whenever I boot up Microsoft Flight Sim, the world will automatically generate google maps textures?

I will never ever go back to using the default MSFS maps that have all kinds of issues like green roads and poorly done caching. This "mod" uses Google maps which are way more accurate, up-to-date, and detailed. It is very responsive. I use Map Enhancement in all my videos because it greatly improves the low VFR flying with SEL planes that I do.

Great utility! Thank you so much, derekhe! Does Bing Maps (Latest) include the color corrections by Asobo? If it does, then I'll stick with it. I had tried Mapbox and I had quickly gotten to 150,000 of 750,000 allowed monthly free Raster Tiles API tile requests! If I wanted 20 million tile requests a month, it'd be 3112.5 USD a month! If I were a rich kid....

Colorcorrection is removed in the mod so you get clear view.

The latest bing map only has satellite images, if use with old color correction data, it will be very strange.

For who has crashed installation, please update and try:
* Updated electron package to the latest version, don't know if it can fix the crash issue.
* Please try it and give me feedback. Your help is really needed to improve this software and future releases. I can't reproduce this problem so I had to try different things.

The crash is related to a GPU issue. Please make sure you have the latest display driver installed.

If it doesn't work, please follow the following steps:

* Open Command Prompt in windows
* navigate to installation folder using cd command: cd "C:\Program Files\MSFS2020 Map Enhancement"
* run the exe file with --no-sandbox: ".\MSFS2020 Map Enhancement.exe" --no-sandbox

If still crashes, please report an issue here:
