Descrição
Westonzoyland is a busy microlight airfield in Somerset on the site of a former RAF base. There are two main grass runways however the third is normally a taxiway running east/west, aligned 08/26 but is brought into service when the wind is in that direction. Some of the old runway is still used as a taxiway parallel to 33/15 and the remains of the control tower are clearly visible. The original east/west runway 09/27 is still there but is used by car clubs and model aircraft flyers. The hangars are of the T-type however a couple of sheds on the north west side are also used for storing aircraft and have a concrete apron.
There is an earth wall before the threshold of 21 and the areas between the runways / taxiways are cropped with maize / potatoes etc. There are lorries stored on the peri track, usually with one just at the end of 15. Due to turbulence from the adjacent buildings, 15 is rarely used.
There are two wind socks, one is shown on the airfield diagram on the web site and the second is fixed to the old tower. Nothing like a second opinion !
Any static aircraft would be best represented by wieghtshift and 3-axis microlights such as Thrusters, Icarus c-42, Skyranger Swifts etc.

To the south of the road running parallel to the remains of the original 09/27 is another microlight strip called Middlezoy aligned 08/26. They have an excellent bar in the clubhouse and the owner store lots of military hardware on site including a Meteor F8. There is a photo at Middlezoy - UK Airfield Guide under "and another aspect" which shows the general arrangement. https://www.ukairfieldguide.net/airfields/Middlezoy The last image "and finally" is orientated with the top of the frame facing south-east.
Having the above in FS2020 would be absolutely terrific.
