First of all i would like to apologize if this fix is not going to cover your specific region. But it is a bit hard to fix the entire planet from excessive trees, so here i am, starting off with some of the handcrafted cities of Italy being released/updated just today! Fix will be applied to airports as well if necessary.

Trees fix included in the following cities/airports as of now (list will grow once i will get new requests of fixing specific places!!)

- Turin + surroundings;

- Venice + surroundings;

Dear flight simmers,

The trees issue has start disappearing thanks to a server imput from Asobo. Please keep reporting issues if you are still noticing problems with trees.

Is it just me or Asobo is doing a fix? I mean I tried this mod and the shorter tree mod, then deleted these to try out default trees again to check the fix, but now all I can see that trees are completely gone or rarely exist outside of photogrammetry area, and inside the area, it is Amazonas still. Does anyone have this issue too?

Ah so it is a widespread issue, and I kinda only tried it at the photogrammetric area only. However in Switzerland, I notice this too: when I fly further, a circle around me is lacking trees, but outside of that, there are trees loading. Looks like a LOD issue but probably connected to this last update, because before it was different I think.

This is an all-in-one package. Fixes for a few airports are already included. If you need a fix for a specific place/airport, please let me know.

Thankyou so much - i will remember that. There are lots of airports with problems. When you lets msfs Ai-pilot fly the aircraft it often crashes into trees before the runway.

Would it be possible to just reduce the amount of autogen trees instead of completely surpressing them? The PG trees aren't too pretty either (but still better than the jungle)

This is a photogrammetry thing; about the trees request, all i can do is adjust vegetation for just a bit of density: this will mean to spot less trees with more acceptable results but still, in random places.

Thanks a lot for this addon! Those roman jungle areas where driving me crazy.

I really wonder, how "something like that" can be released. But thanks to some great content creators, bugs can be fixed quicker, than the big and mighty developer team can do.

For the moment Turin and (especially) the surrounding (also Turin Caselle airport) are still suffering of the trees issue.

Thanks for your short update! Keep this mod installed as long as you like until Asobo will finally solve this issue totally. Furthermore, i will take a look at Turin surroundings and release an update if necessary.

Can you check the Vatican City Heliport please. Its currently surrounded by trees even after the server side patch by Asobo.

The tree size was fixed in at least some regions, making this mod not necessary in these regions anymore. See: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vegetation-size-in-wu9/519120 . Still, thanks to the author for the fix that he provided up until now.

An absolutely great job; even at Venice airport (LIPZ) the trees on the parkings disappeared. I'm asking to myself how the Beta testing people didn't realize of this big mistake!

Much thanks, as they really messed this one up... almost makes me wonder if they're working on major changes to the foliage system.

I've got 2 requests around the Naples area if you have time -

1) The coastline leading west out of downtown Naples still has a lot of trees right on the water, unfortunately covering up one of the most opulent and spectacular neighborhoods of estates/mansions/castles on the planet.

2) heading in that same direction out of town along the coast, there are 2 photogrammetry islands that need tree removal. First right off the coast near the first area I'm talking about there's a small crescent-shaped volcanic island called Nisida that you actually may have already edited but still has some large trees that really stick out in the worst way... and then further out to the west a bit further off the coast there's a larger island called Procida that Asobo has 95% covered in a freakin' rainforest for some reason; just deforest that whole island like you're a Brazilian lumber conglomerate, please.

BTW on that note, another thing that makes me think someone could be working on the problem - that island, Procida, is actually a screenshot on the WU9 loading screen, and in the screenshot, the foliage is totally reasonable, sparse and short. Compare the big fort structure in-sim and in the screenshot: in the screenshot you can see the walls of the fort and it looks relatively realistic, whereas in-sim you can barely even see it behind all the shitty massive trees.

Ciao grazie per il tuo lavoro, se possibile potresti togliere gli alberi che si trovano lateralmente la pista dell' aeroporto LICT Trapani, se guardi su google hearth vedrai che ci sono soltanto pochissimi alberi e per giunta molto piccoli.

Sadly my trees in Rome look like melted blobs with no foliage definition. Ive tried a few tree mods but none appear to work. One from another site was mentioned on Asobo forums and uses various scaled entries in the xml files. Was created 6 months ago so perhaps a SU has caused it to no longer work. Rome is a bit of a mess with massive trees and using this mod reveals how poor many of the buildings and ground are once they are revealed.
