Glamorous Glen III was the mount of Captain (later Brigadier General) Chuck Yeager while on combat operations with the 357th Fighter Group in England in 1944.
Having previously flown the P-51B and C, the D was the airframe he scored the majority of his credited 12.5 kills in.
This pack includes both markings for the original 41-4888 as flown by Yeager as well as the replica colour scheme tributing him on 44-63893/N333E as she appeared c2017.
This livery is for the P-51D included with the Base Reno expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Two Packages are available for you to choose:
The Main package includes a self installation executable. The alternate package is a installerless zip file. They are labelled accordingly. Only download the one you wish to use.

***END NOTAM***
I was stationed at Edwards AFB for 7 years, and worked on the F-16 and the F-22 there. I have at least a half dozen stories from Security Forces and other aircraft maintainers about what an ass Chuck Yeager is (was). By the way, did you know he wasn't the first person to break the sound barrier? Yeah!! Actually a civilian test pilot by the name of George Welch did it in an F-86 Prototype 13 days before Yeager did, but his aircraft gauges weren't being officially recorded. Everyone on the ground heard the boom but had no idea what it was. Oh, also, it's Colonel Yeager. That's the rank he retired as, so that's all he gets from me. Congress game him the star because supposedly he was "the man". Not Earned!!. Cool livery none the less!!

By far the best livery for the Asobo P-51D. Thanks for taking the time on this. Must've been a real chore!
